Reclaiming Time With AI : Helping Designers Move From Execution to Strategic Impact

For a long time, I’ve been optimizing our design turnaround time (TAT).
One of the biggest improvements came from shifting the team from Photoshop to Figma — a move that unlocked multi-artboard workflows, real-time collaboration, shared asset libraries, and seamless reviews with Marketing and Product.
With the introduction of AI into our workflow, we’ve been able to push this even further — reducing design TAT significantly while also elevating the overall quality of our deliverables.
Problem
When 70% of Time Goes Into Visuals, Creativity Takes a Back Seat
Designers spend most of their time creating visual assets — churning out iterations, resizing, adapting formats, and meeting an endless stream of deliverables.
This execution-heavy loop leaves little room for what designers are truly meant to do: ideate, explore, solve complex problems, and think strategically.
Vision
Shift designers from executors to ideators.
My vision was to create a workflow where designers spend less time on repetitive graphic production and more time crafting ideas, concepts, and strategic direction — while AI handles the execution-heavy tasks. This transition empowers designers to think bigger, move faster, and deliver higher-quality creative output.
